NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
SATURDAY 26th AUGUST 2023, 4:15pm in the Jim Powell Pavilion Pavilion
MEMBERS ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT THE 2023 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF NORTHERN SUBURBS DOG TRAINING CLUB Inc. WILL BE HELD IN THE JIM POWELL PAVILION, ST IVES SHOWGROUND ON SATURDAY 26th AUGUST 2023 at 4:15pm.
In accordance with the constitution, all positions will be declared vacant and nominations are hereby called for Members of the Committee of Management (office bearers and up to 12 ordinary members) of NORTHERN SUBURBS DOG TRAINING CLUB Inc. FOR THE YEAR 2023-2024.
The specific committee positions are:
Dancing with Dogs Discipline Coordinator
Rally Discipline Coordinator
Retrieving Discipline Coordinator
Tricks Discipline Coordinator
Scentwork Discipline Coordinator
Administration (council liaison) officer
Membership – 2 positions
Communications Officer
Clubhouse
Trials and training equipment
Assistant treasurer
ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ELECTION.
Only CURRENT FINANCIAL members of the Club are eligible to nominate a Candidate, Stand for Office, or Vote in the Election
NOMINATIONS must be made in writing SIGNED by the NOMINEE and by the NOMINATOR and SECONDER
A FINANCIAL member may nominate Candidates for any or all positions vacant.
CLOSING DATE for receipt of nominations is Saturday 5th August 2023 at 4pm.
Postal votes will be made available as a downloadable document on this page by August 12th should more than one nomination be received for a committee role. Members wishing to submit a postal vote will need to download this document and follow the instructions.. Proxy votes are not permitted by our constitution and will not be accepted.
In accordance with Clause 17 of the Constitution of Northern Suburbs Dog Training Club Inc.:
- If insufficient nominations are received to fill all vacancies on the Committee, the candidates nominated are taken to be elected subject to * below;
- If insufficient further nominations are received, or if a person is not approved by the majority of members entitled to vote at the meeting, any vacant positions remaining on the Committee are taken to be casual vacancies; and
- If the number of nominations received is equal to the number of vacancies to be filled, the persons nominated are taken to be elected *ONLY if approved by the majority of members entitled to vote at the meeting.
REMEMBER: Final date for receipt of Nominations is Saturday 5th August 2023.
The positions to be filled are: President, Vice Presidents (2), Secretary, Treasurer, Chief Instructor (Agility), Chief Instructor (Obedience) and Committee (up to 12 positions)
