Dog of The Year Awards – Obedience, Rally Obedience, Dances with Dogs, Retrieving Ability Test for Gundogs & Ku-ring-gai K9

The Enniskey Trophy for Excellence in Trialling – CDX, UD, UDX

This trophy is in the form of a perpetual shield which will be awarded annually at the Annual Awards Night. It will remain in the clubhouse and will be engraved annually with the winner’s name. Applicants must have trained regularly at NSDTC Saturday Obedience (at least 12 times in the calendar year).

Up to 6 cards from any NSW trial, with a minimum of 3, may be submitted by the club member. Photocopies of the cards will be accepted. Points will be awarded for place in the ring or qualification (see below). Qualifications submitted must be from 1 November the previous year to 31 October of the current year. Cards must be submitted by 7 November of the current year. In the event of a tie, the highest mark gained will determine the winner. Applications must be on the appropriate form.

1st = 10 points
2nd = 7 points
3rd = 4 points
Qualification only = 1 point

The Keebah Trophy for Excellence in Trialling – CCD, CD

This trophy is in the form of a perpetual shield which will be awarded annually at the Annual Awards Night. It will remain in the clubhouse and will be engraved annually with the winner’s name. Applicants must have trained regularly at NSDTC Saturday Obedience (at least 12 times in a calendar year.)

A Club member will submit 3 qualifying cards from any NSW trial. Photocopies of the cards will be accepted. Points will be awarded for place in ring or qualification.(see below) Qualifications submitted must be from 1 November the previous year to 31 October of the current year.Cards must be submitted by 7 November. In the event of a tie, the highest mark gained will determine the winner. (Comparison of CCD mark to CD : calculate marks lost in each case ) Applications must be on the appropriate form.

Ku-ring-gai K9 Award

The Ku-ring-gai K9 Award is a joint venture between Ku-ring-gai Council & Northern Suburbs Dog Training Club to encourage and reward responsible dog ownership in our community.    Club members who pass the pet ‘practical’ and questionnaire on dog care and the laws are presented with special KK9 Certificates and leads sponsored by Council.

Club Title Mementos  

A plaque is awarded to any Club Member who’s dog gains an ANKC Obedience, Rally O, Retrieving Ability, Agility or Dances with Dogs Title.  The momentos consist of a timber base to which gold title plaques are added as acquired throughout your dog’s career.

One base is provided per dog for Obedience, Rally, Retrieving and Dance titles.  One base is provided for Agility titles.  If titles exceed space provided a second base may be requested.

On achieving your FIRST TITLE ONLY in any discipline you must fill out the form provided here along with a copy of the title as provided by DOGS NSW.  (Note:  qualification cards are NOT required).

SUBSEQUENT TITLES:  Notify the Chief Instructor of the discipline concerned who will record the title and present the plaque to you asap.
