Why join?
The Club provides its members advice, support and community education in responsible dog ownership and canine welfare. Through the experience of its instructors, it can help dog owners with:

  • dog obedience
  • canine health eg. ticks, flea control, vaccination
  • dog laws and all aspects of the Companion Animals Act 1998 (NSW)
  • general well-being of your dog eg grooming, feeding
  • dog behavioural problems

Members also receive editions of the NSDTC newsletter Yaps & Yelps which provides articles of canine interest and keeps members informed of all happenings and events within the Club.

How to join
At your first visit you will be required to submit your Membership Form and Dog Profile Form, pay the membership fee and present a current Vaccination Certificate for your dog.

On joining, each member is given a Name Badge with your name and your canine friend's name, which you are required to bring each week to class. At each class you will also be required to pay the Ground Fee (see table opposite), payable at the beginning of each class.
